Sprint Racing – Spring/Fall Training

Spring Training

Description
For Bantam and up athletes (1998 and earlier) with paddling experience who want to start training earlier in the season. Spring training is the best time to learn good technique, get back in great paddling shape, and have fun on the water after school and on weekends.

Schedule

  • May 1– June 30
  • Monday to Friday :
    • 4:30 to 6:00 pm (athletes must arrive at the club around 4:00 pm to be on the water by 4:30 at the latest) OR
    • 6:30 to 8:00 pm (athletes must arrive at the club around 6:00 pm to be on the water by 4:30 at the latest)
  • Saturday : 10:00 am -12:00  pm (athletes must be on the water at 10:30am at the latest) (Athletes must bring their running shoes)

Fees

$100 (plus tax)

Please check the NBCC Cold Water safety policies and guidelines (to be posted shortly) for important information when training in those conditions. Coaches will monitor water temperature daily.

Fall Training

Description
For Bantam and up athletes (1998 and earlier) with paddling experience who want to work on their technique and prepare for next season.  Fall training is a great time to learn good technique, to learn how to become a competitive athlete and to have fun on the water after school and on the weekends.

Schedule

  • Sept 6 – Oct 31
  • 3-5 practices per week, after school and weekend mornings
  • Single boats only
