“The coaches offered inspiration, leadership, and encouragement”

“The excellent support of coaches who made themselves available to hear input and encourage a paddler when they needed it. Well organized at the Regetta’s and good energy from the coaches. Appreciated the responsiveness of staff when I called or emailed and required follow up”

Description

Our sprint racing programs are designed for children and youth 8 years of age and older (born 2010 or earlier). The program is geared towards fun, racing technique, balance, and an introduction to competition. Participants will learn to paddle single, double, and four-person canoes and kayaks, along with everybody’s favorite, the War Canoe.

While enrolled in this program, the athletes will have the opportunity to race all kinds of boats at different regattas.  This is a fun introduction to a competitive environment.  This program offers a great opportunity for beginners and experienced paddlers alike to discover the joys of working towards a goal.  It provides healthy competition and community spirit in a fun outdoor environment. Don’t be shy!  Come and try our sport.  Everyone is welcome.
